RECLAIM Project (Reintegration of Ex-combatants in Sri Lanka through Assistance & Information Management)
IOM has selected Training Division of SEEDS as service provider for business development and training component for the beneficiaries and family members of the RECLAIM project. Under the assignment, SEEDS carried out entrepreneurship Development trainings for clients and follow up business development services. So far, SMTI has trained over 100 beneficiaries of IOM in Polonnaruwa, Anuradapura and Kurunegala districts. After the basic entrepreneurship development training, a business plan prepared for every beneficiary and facilitated the implementation of business plan. IOM provide partial funding for the business start up. All trained beneficiaries are managing their micro enterprises properly. The project pass the benefits to at least 1,000 beneficiaries throughout the country (excluding the North and East), would receive such training over a period of time.
